Thurgood Marshall lost interview with Mike Wallace from 1956. Amazingly, not many Americans have ever heard Thurgood Marshall speak. Below is some recently found footage that shows not just his persuasive argumentative skills, but also Marshall’s charisma and sense of humor.
 
 
Thurgood Marshall, documentary filmmaker on one of America’s most important road trips. During the summers of 1933 and 1934, Thurgood Marshall and his mentor, Charles Hamilton Houston packed up Houston’s car and drove through the South, recording images of the conditions of black schools, and gathering research for what would later become Brown v Board. Houston did most of the camerawork here, but the last panning image of Houston was most likely shot by Thurgood Marshall.
